This Privacy Policy explains how Samantha Sherman (“I”, “me”, or “the Studio”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit lifebydesign.art (the “Site”). By using the Site or submitting the booking inquiry form, you agree to the practices described here.
Information I Collect
Information you provide through the contact form. When you submit a booking inquiry, I collect: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), a description of your tattoo idea, your preferred placement and size, and any reference images you attach (JPG, PNG, or WEBP, up to 5 images, 5 MB each).
Information collected automatically. The Site does not use analytics or tracking tools of any kind. My hosting provider keeps standard server access logs (such as IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention; I do not use them to profile visitors.
I do not collect sensitive information such as health or medical data, payment card details, or government IDs. Payment for tattoos is handled in person at the Studio, not through this Site.
How I Use Your Information
- To review, respond to, and schedule your tattoo booking inquiry.
- To communicate with you about your design, placement, pricing, and appointment logistics.
- In aggregated, non-identifying form to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it.
How Your Information Is Shared
Your form submission is delivered by email to samantha@lifebydesign.art through Resend (resend.com), my email delivery provider, which transmits via Amazon SES. Resend processes the data only to deliver the message.
Analytics are processed by a self-hosted instance of Umamirunning on my hosting provider’s infrastructure. Umami does not use cookies and does not sell or share data with third parties.
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and I do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
This Site does not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking tools. No cookie banner or consent tool is needed to use this Site.
Data Retention
Booking inquiries and any reference images you send are retained in the Studio’s email inbox for as long as needed to respond to and schedule your inquiry, and are deleted when no longer relevant.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information you have provided. U.S. residents, including residents of Oregon (under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act) and other states with comparable laws, may exercise these rights. To make a request, email me at the address in “Contact” below. I respond to verified requests within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.
Do Not Track
The Site does not use analytics or tracking of any kind, so browser Do Not Track signals do not apply. Because the Site sets no cookies, no opt-out is required.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through the form, contact me and I will delete it.
Links to Other Sites
The Site contains links to external services such as Instagram. This Policy does not apply to those services; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here.
